Here you find Louis Davidson’s wonderful arrangement of “Thou Who Sits to the Father’s Right,” No.9 From Mass in B Minor by JS Bach. This arrangement includes parts for both trumpet or trombone/baritone, so it can be happily played by players of both high and low brass.
In the B- Mass, this number is a duet between solo soprano and oboe d’amore. Davidson expertly weaves the two parts together, matching the parallel range of the oboe with both the trumpet and the trombone to make an arrangement that sits are perfectly on the fingers as it does the ears.
