As the name would suggest, Fernand Goeyens’ Improvvisata is written in a spontaneous style. The music comes across as organic and improvised but still culminates in a unified whole. Improvvisata begins softly and lyrically, eventually escalating to an exciting finish.
With both Bb and C transpositions included, the music is ready-to-go on whichever instrument you select. The range of this piece is between high concert C above the staff and concert C just below the staff.
