Eugène Foveau was a French trumpeter and cornetist. As a student at the Paris Conservatory, Foveau won a First Prize for trumpet and studied with Merri Franquin. Later in life, Foveau became professor of trumpet at the Paris Conservatory from 1925 to 1947. Among Foveau’s most renowned students were Pierre Pollin, Pierre Thibaud, Raymond Sabarich and Roger Delmotte.
Foveau compiled some of the most celebrated excerpts for trumpet from the orchestral literature into these three books. This series is sort of a hybrid between collections of excerpts and etudes, perfect for weekly practice and preparing for your next audition.
