This really is two books in one! In this book of Christmas Carols, there are two versions of most of the carols, a quartet, and a duet. A few of them really only worked convincingly in the horn quartet version, so those were not set as duets, but otherwise, everything is there in both variations. For the quartets, there are both scores and parts so no matter how you prefer to read them, they are there. The duets are just provided in score format to make it easy to switch parts on repeats.
The idea behind the book was to give flexibility for the number of players, as well as carols that are largely readable but contain some interesting writing and harmonies to keep things exciting. So if you are caroling as a quartet or a duo there are options for you.
