This book by Igor Hudadoff is designed to give the beginning student additional solo material that normally is not found in method books.
The selections progress gradually from easy waltzes and marches to more difficult excerpts from traditional and classical works. The range for the instrument is comfortable but also challenging. The rhythms progress gradually from the basic quarter and half notes through eighth, sixteenth, and dotted notes and rests.
Band directors especially should encourage the students to start using this book as early as the second semester of study as a supplement to the basic method, thus expanding the student’s horizons beyond the basic method toward the vast library of music that is available for their education and enjoyment.
To left you can see tunes from the beginning and end of the book, and above you can grab an immediate PDF download.
