20 Fantasies in Two Parts From the XVI Century is a wonderful book of early duos from a group of composers including Gastoldi, Morley, Lasso, Tasso, Antiquis, and Lupachino. They are meant to be played by any two like instruments in treble clef. Of course, at the time they would have been played by recorders or flutes, they work very well for modern instruments like trumpet, horn, trombone, or any like woodwind instrument.
These make for fantastic prelude music for church holidays, weddings, and other special events, and they offer a reading challenge that makes them perfect for your studio practice and students as well.
