Along with Joaquin des Prez, Heinrich Isaac (Isaak) was the most important Franco-Flemish composer of the late 16th century. One can tell from the titles of these pieces that Isaac traveled widely. He lived and worked in France, Germany and Italy. In his complete works are many three part pieces, both instrumental and vocal. Among his most popular works, these pieces have been played extensively by early music ensembles. They lend themselves nicely, arranged for brass trio here by Allan Dean for the Yale Brass Trio.
Included in your purchase is a PDF file of the entire suite of seven pieces, along with the MP3 recordings of the Yale Brass Trio performing the full suite. The members of the Yale Brass Trio, Allan Dean (trumpet), William Purvis (horn), and Scott Hartman (trombone) played early music arrangements to open their annual concerts at Yale from 2002 to 2019, and the full series will be coming to qPress.
Below you can find two audio files that go along with the score samples to the left. Give them a listen, then grab an immediate digital download at the link above.
