Kresser was active in Paris about the middle of the 19th century. He is identified in an edition as an artist from the “Academie Royale de Musique” and “Professeur au Gymnase Musical Militaire.”
His Twelve Trios for Trumpet was originally published as two suites of six, and they remain in this form today at qPress, as edited by E.A. Wienandt. This collection is the first of the two, and you can find the second set right here.
This set was originally titled “Short Concert Trios” so we are leaving that intact, but they are not really that short. A few are two pages, but they average 4 pages long each. These are perfect for studio use, recital programming, gigging, and ideal for your next trumpet hang.
