Cardoni's “The Trumpet Style. Exercises and studies of character”, is a fantastic etude book for the modern trumpeter. The book cycles through not only key centres, but also rhythmic patterns and chordal structures. As the etudes progress, they get more difficult, and a greater focus is put on the need for a precise tongue (both double and triple) and extended endurance.
