From Koenig’s Journal for Cornet ~ a ~ Pistons No. 113, 1854. Published in London, this Victorian era cornet solo is the first known composition by French cornet legend Jean Baptiste Arban. At the time of this publication, Arban and Koenig were the two cornetists in Jullien’s famous Drury Lane Orchestra, having traveled together with Jullien on his American tour in the early 1850s. Edited by John M. Laverty.
