Al Porcino and John Audino were all-star lead trumpet players of the swing era, and both featured as lead trumpet in the Terry Gibbs Dream Band. Even if you haven’t heard their names, you’ve certainly heard them play. Porcino played lead in legendary big bands, such as the orchestras of Tommy Dorsey, Woody Herman, Stan Kenton, Louis Prima, and Gene Krupa. Audino is mostly remembered for his long stint as a member of the Tonight Show Band.

This bundle is a collection of lead transcriptions from our friend Stuart McLean-Fowler. These transcriptions lay down the lead trumpet part exactly as played by the Terry Gibbs Dream Band.
