New Progressive Method for Cornet By Donald J. Pease

$9.99

Quantity

The purpose of this method is to give the pupil a thorough, interesting and progressive approach to the fundamentals of trumpet playing. Things to note about this book:

  1. The exercises and pieces have been arranged so as to proceed logically in a slow thorough manner, i. e. with plenty of material.
  2. Development of the tonal compass (range) has been given a gradual advancement thus taking into consideration the embouchure of young players.
  3. The writer has intentionally left out lengthy comment or explanations to be read by the pupil, as these are seldom heeded and are more forceful when taken up by the teacher.
  4. Problems are presented through the use of many folk-tunes and familiar melodies which add to the interest of the pupil and stimulate a desire to play.

Pease wrote 3 books in total for the trumpet. Two are beginner methods (Including this Progressive Method and the Fundamental Method for Trumpet) and he also wrote a Follow Up Method to use after this book (or any beginner method) which you can see here.
