The Glogauer Liederbuch, a medieval songbook made up of 292 sacred and secular songs and instrumental music, was collected around 1480. It is the earliest known surviving set of part books (descant, tenor and contratenor) and is an important source of 15th century musical material. The manuscript was named at a later date after the town of Glogau in Lower Silesia. Formerly kept at the Prussian State Library in Berlin, it was taken to Grussau Abbeu, Silesia, in 1941 to protect it from Allied bombing. Under Polish sovereignty after WWII, it apparently disappeared until 1977, when the missing manuscripts were found to be in the Jagiellonian Library in Krakow, where it now resides as a part of the Berlinka art collection.

Included in your purchase is a PDF file of the entire suite of eight pieces, along with the MP3 recordings of the Yale Brass Trio performing the full suite. The members of the Yale Brass Trio, Allan Dean (trumpet), William Purvis (horn), and Scott Hartman (trombone) played early music arrangements to open their annual concerts at Yale from 2002 to 2019, and the full series will be coming to qPress.

Below you can find two audio files that go along with the score samples to the left. Give them a listen, then grab an immediate digital download at the link above.
