Vesti la Giubba is one of the most beloved arias from Leoncavallo’s opera Pagliacci. We think that any aria sounds fantastic on brass instruments, but this one in particular just seems at home on the trombone.
The melody is passionate and soaring (it’s an Italian opera, after all). Played this with a full wind ensemble behind you would be a fantastic experience, and won’t leave a dry eye in the house!
We provided samples of the solo and score to the left, check those out and then click above for an immediate PDF download. The download contains the solo part, ensemble parts, and score in a single printable PDF.
