Wilhelm Kopprasch’s 8 Duets for horn is a great intermediate collection that is equally at home on the trumpet and any other treble clef brass instrument combination.Wilhelm was the father of Georg Kopprasch who wrote the 60 studies that we have all played since we were young, and these duets are a good example of accessible technical writing for brass.
These duets are written with the parts on separate pages, which I always take to mean that they are meant for concert performance. They are each long enough to include in masterclasses and recitals and are a very nice addition to any programme.
I have included the first duet for free in the samples. Give it a try, then grab an immediate PDF download above.
