Piet Nuten’s “Duo Capriccioso” is a very involved modern concert duet for two trumpets in Bb. It is quick paced and very technically challenging, with complex rhythms that demand well established facility. When you get it together, though, you are rewarded with an inspiring and exciting piece ready for the concert stage.
