JB Faulx’s 20 Virtuosic Studies After Bach was originally published under the French title “Vingt Etudes de Virtuosite.” I was surprised to discover these and was surprised again by how wonderful these etudes are, I am shocked that they have not made it into regular rotation in North America. They are challenging but definitely playable, very suitable for the stage, lessons, and masterclasses as well.
