Carl Joachim Andersen was an acclaimed Danish flutist and instructor in the late 20th century. During his time, Andersen was in high demand as both a performer and a pedagogue.
The vast majority of Andersen’s output was for the flute, but luckily trumpet powerhouse, and friend of qPress, Erik Veldkamp has adapted some of his work for brass instruments. As the music was originally written for the flute, these etudes are challenging and will help tubists and euphonium players work on their agility and dexterity. Veldkamp has arranged these etudes so that, although challenging, they sit comfortably in the standard range for bass clef brass instruments.
