12 Exercises in Mechanism for the Cornet By E. Guilbaut

$9.99

Quantity

Guilbaut is known for his editing and compilation of some of the most important trumpet methods of his time, including the Alexandre Petit method and the Forrestier method, but he also wrote some fantastic methods and etudes himself.

This selection is his 12 technical etudes. Each one is a study in dexterity for both tongue and fingers, and sits firmly in the upper intermediate to advanced range in difficulty. “Mechanism” is a funny word that doesn’t translate very well, so we just translated it literally. Meaning, the mechanism (or mechanics) of trumpet playing. This covers things like, technique, velocity, flexibility, range, and large intervals. Something everyone needs.

This has been digitized from one of the only remaining copies of this book in the world. It is available on its own, or as a 3 part book entitled “Guilbaut, Conservatory Studies for the Cornet Complete” available at qPress as well.
